With "Per Minute" pricing, customers pay on a per minute basis. It sounds straight forward.

The key is to find out what the billing increment is.

Some voice broadcasting companies charge in 60 second billing increments. Others charge in 30 second billing increments.

The billing increment that most businesses pay their long distance is a 6 second billing increment.

In this example, let's say the rate is $0.10 per minute.

To calculate the total cost, just multiply:

6,000 minutes X $0.10 = $600.00

Not all per minute rates are the same. You must know the billing increment in order to compare.
